Instructions for using our cosmetic colours
Concentrated Liquid Dyes
Highly concentrated cosmetic grade liquid dye designed for use in melt and pour vegetable glycerine soap base, bath products, bath gels, lotions, spritzers, etc.
This dye colours the soap base without blocking the light which makes it perfect for transparent soap base.
Mixes easily and colours beautifully.
These colours are stable and do not bleed in your soap base as long as you stay within the guidelines.
If you are heavy handed with your liquid dyes - they may have a tendency to "shadow" or bleed out slightly over time.
Use only 1 drop at a time until desired colour is reached. To colour approximately 1-lb pound of soap base - you will only need approximately 5 to 7 drops.
May be used for colouring bath fizzies (with a spritzer) and bath salts (using a tiny amount- drop by drop) mixing well after each drop until evenly distributed and desired colour is reached.
Add one drop to colour lotions and bath gels, mixing well until distributed.
BATH BOMB WATER SOLUBLE DYES
Beautifully vibrant water soluble powdered dyes that will turn the bath water colour.
This dye can be used to colour bath bombs, bubble bars, and bath salts.
Usage rate: 0.1 - 3% - most often 1/8 tsp is enough.
These colourants can be added directly into dry ingredients but this dye works best and is most vibrant when it is mixed with a small amount of water, witch hazel, rubbing alcohol or glycerin before adding to dry ingredients.
ALWAYS WEAR GLOVES when handling as it is a dye and will stain your skin and other things when not diluted.
This dye when used diluted in water, in a bathtub, will not stain the bathtub or skin. If your bathtub is not in good condition use with caution.
This dye is very concentrated so a little goes a very long way.
The colour when in powder form may look different from actual colour.
