Clays are cosmetic grade and suitable for all types of soap making (cold process and melt & pour soap base, etc.) including bath preparations, facial care, etc.
Clays are excellent for use in skin care preparations such as facial masks,cleansing, poultices, detoxification regimes, etc.
Soap makers love the clays because of the satin finish to the final bar of soap.
Beneficial extra cleansing due to the detoxification power of the clays.
Recommended use for soap making: approximately 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon per pound of soap.
It is best to dilute the clay in a tiny bit of water (1-2 teaspoons) first so it mixes easier in your base.
Only a tiny amount is required for bath products - start with 1/2 teaspoon and work your way up.
The clays offer earthy colour tones - if you're looking for a prettier colour, try combining a clay with a tiny amount of a complimentary (colour) pigment.
Remember - It is easier to add than take away colour.
