Externally, it reduces swellings, inflammation, drains infections and contaminations, cleanses and protects the skin. It is used in facials, poultices , body wraps and baths.

Internally, it cleanses, drains, detoxifies, balances the pH and the intestinal flora. It is not absorbed by the body, but communicates with it, exchanging cations and removing toxins.

How To Prepare a Clay poultice.

The best tools to use clays are non metallic . Wooden spoons or spatula , glass or wood bowls . Plastics are also acceptable. You Will need a bowl a spoon and some gaze or plain paper towel.

Pour some water in the bowl and add the clay such that the clay is totally immerged. You want to obtain a paste that is consistent. If too hard it will be difficult to apply, if too liquid you will have a big mess on your hands.
