We use a little of this in our standard line of lip balms to give a watermelon colour (though we don’t use enough to colour the lips when applied). It’s a really pretty colour and we’ve been very happy with it! Never used it in CP soap, so I can’t comment on that (we already have an in-house blend that we like for red in CP soaps).
