Do you love bronzer but hate the store prices. Well now you can make your own Easy DIY Bronzer Lotion, save money and have an awesome product. You also get the benefit of knowing what all the ingredients are that you are putting on your skin and that is the bonus of DIY bodycare.
If you have a scale it is always best to weigh your ingredients especially if you want to duplicate it in the future. If you don’t have one not to worry you can use measuring cups and spoons.
We are using a zip lock bag because it is easy number one and it helps to avoid adding unwanted bacteria from containers, spoons and spatulas you may be mixing with.
If you are using cups and spoons make sure you sanitize them before starting.
You will need a lotion base to start either make your own or try our awesome Moisturizing Lotion Base or our Hemp Lotion Base.
You will also need some mica to turn this into Easy DIY Bronzer Lotion. We are going to use the Bronze Satin Mica and the Oriental beige or Coffee mica. Depending on how dark you’d like to go the oriental beige is light and the coffee is darker.
Start by getting a zip lock bag and folding over the top. Next stand it in a measuring cup or container.
Next weigh in 120g (4oz – 1/2 cup) of lotion into the zip lock bag.
Weigh into the Ziploc 2 grams (1/2 tsp) of the bronze satin mica
Next weigh in 2 grams (1/2 tsp) of the oriental beige mica
Now remove the bag from the measuring cup
Press the air out of the bag and zip. Double check that the bag is zipped all the way.
Now the fun part, squish the ingredients together until they are well mixed and no white lotion is left.
Don’t panic it does not go on as dark as it looks.
You can also play with other mica colours to achieve just what you are looking for. These are just a place for you to start.
If you want a more sparkly bronzer for your body you can add some glittery mica.
Our suggestions would be: Super Sparkle Gold Mica
We added about 1/4 tsp but you can add more if you want more sparkle. Just remember it maychange the colour of the final product a bit if you get crazy.
Zip it up again and squish it through the mixture.
Test the Easy DIY Bronzer Lotion on your skin to see if the colour is right. You can always add more of the bronze mica if it is too light or add more lotion if it is too dark.
Make sure you write down what you did so you can duplicate it the next time
Squish the mixture to the bottom of the bag.
Move the Easy DIY Bronzer Lotion away from one corner
Cut off a small tip of the corner
Twist the top of the bag like a piping bag and squeeze into the 4 oz bottle
We are using a 4oz (120ml) round bottle and all the mixture just fits and then we are adding the pump top.
It’s that easy to create your own Easy DIY Bronzer Lotion safe for face and body
